We've completed our journey through the Old Testament. We are now in a period often called the "Silent Period." It's a 400-year gap between the last story in the Old Testament -- Nehemiah -- and the first story in the New Testament -- Luke. Though the Bible does not say anything about what happens during this time, there was quite a bit that went down, preparing the People, freshly returned from exile, for their long-awaited Messiah. We talk about the promise that God made right from the very beginning, to restore order to the chaos of the world, and see how that promise has been slowly progressing through the Old Testament to make everything ready for the arrival of Jesus.
