"Dwelling in Ruth" :: Ashley Tirado

In Ruth, we see the story of a woman who was an outsider to the people of Israel, but when presented with a choice of where she wanted her life to go, she chose to dwell with a God who was not her own on account of the love and story of her mother-in-law. And that choice led her to situations where God was able to prove his goodness and caring for her, paving a path directly to Jesus.

This teaching is part of our 2023 series, "Dwell: Abiding in the Shelter of the Most High.” In 2023, we will take another journey through the Scriptures, looking for the God-sightings in each book and seeing how we can learn to dwell in God's presence.

The Book of Ruth is the story of a foreigner who immigrated into the land of Israel, trusted a God who she did not know in her home country, and found herself part of a far larger story than she could have ever imagined... a story that leads to and ties her directly to Jesus.
