"Dwelling in 1 & 2 Samuel" :: Carlos Cedeño

In Samuel, we see the story of two kings - Saul and David. Though both were anointed by God to lead the people of Isreal, their hearts took very different postures toward God leading to the downfall of one and the exaltation of the other. In the end, their reign, effectiveness, and longevity all came down to their heart. And it all comes down to the posture of our own hearts in our lives today.

This teaching is part of our 2023 series, "Dwell: Abiding in the Shelter of the Most High.” In 2023, we will take another journey through the Scriptures, looking for the God-sightings in each book and seeing how we can learn to dwell in God's presence.

"The Book of Lamentations" :: Eddie Feliciano

The People are in exile. The City lies in ruins. Lamentations is an exposition, written by Jeremiah, describing the condition of the land after the Babylonian exile. It's a book our mourning and a call to the People to recognize how they got into the situation they are in and to repent and turn back to God to restore all that was lost. This is the book of Lamentations.

This teaching is part of our 2022 series, "Anchored,” and is part of our study on the prophets.

"The Book of Numbers" :: Joel Arissó

People fail, but God remains faithful. This is the story of the Book of Numbers. Through their wandering in the wilderness, as the people of Isreal sometimes fell and turned their backs on God, there was always a path of repentance and restoration extended to them. God remains faithful to his promises despite our shortcomings.

This teaching is part of our 2022 series, "Anchored,” and is part of our study on the Torah.
