The book of Psalms is all about worship and bringing your praise and adoration to God. We were created to live lives of worship. While there are multiple authors of the Psalms, the overlying message that they all share is a picture of how to dwell in God's presence through our worship.

This teaching is part of our 2023 series, "Dwell: Abiding in the Shelter of the Most High.” In 2023, we will take another journey through the Scriptures, looking for the God-sightings in each book and seeing how we can learn to dwell in God's presence.

"The Book of Psalms" :: Elliott Johnson

The psalms are a collection of poems written by a variety of people in Israel's history. They were often set to music and sung. They deal with a variety of topics but can be categorized as songs of promise, praise, and prayer. They give us insight as to what was going on in the lives of the people who wrote them and how they saw or looked for God in the midst of their situation. This is the book of Psalms.

This teaching is part of our 2022 series, "Anchored,” and is part of our study on the books of poetry.
