"Dwelling in Judges" :: Diana Nelson

In Judges, the people have entered into the Promised Land, but they very quickly settled into their own ways with their own lives, often forgetting the God who delivered them from slavery. And so, God sent judges to govern over the people and bring them back into a right relationship with their deliverer.

This teaching is part of our 2023 series, "Dwell: Abiding in the Shelter of the Most High.” In 2023, we will take another journey through the Scriptures, looking for the God-sightings in each book and seeing how we can learn to dwell in God's presence.

The people of Isreal have entered the Promised Land and are claiming the territory that God has promised them, but they still struggle with obeying all the commands God has given them, and it leads to disaster. So, God sent judges to oversee and govern the people and lead them back. This is the Book of Judges.

This teaching is part of our 2022 series, "Anchored,” and is part of our study on the Old Testament books of history.
