"Dwelling in Jonah and Micah" :: Carlos Cedeño

In the books of Jonah and Micah, we meet prophets who were sent to different people groups, each with a message calling them to return to God. In Jonah, we find a man who is reluctant to deliver God's message and instead runs away, enduring calamity and trouble as a result. In the end we see that God calls us to serve all people and give our lives to lead them back to him.

This teaching is part of our 2023 series, "Dwell: Abiding in the Shelter of the Most High.” In 2023, we will take another journey through the Scriptures, looking for the God-sightings in each book and seeing how we can learn to dwell in God's presence.

"The Books of Jonah and Micah" :: Joel Arissó

Continuing our study of the prophets, Jonah and Micah give insight to God's heart for how we treat others. Jonah tells the story of a man who was sent to those who he despised because God wanted to save them. Micah tells the story of how the people of Judah should have treated their neighbors but did not. We look at the different perspectives of the two prophets and what their messages were to the people. These are the books of Jonah and Micah.

This teaching is part of our 2022 series, "Anchored,” and is part of our study on the prophets.
