"Dwelling In Esther" :: Jennifer Cedeño

In the book of Esther, we meet a young girl taken from her home and put into the middle of extraordinary circumstances. When faced with a seemingly impossible situation, Esther fasts and seeks and dwells in God's presence as she prepares to make a choice that could determine the outcome of not just her life, but of the lives of all her people.

This teaching is part of our 2023 series, "Dwell: Abiding in the Shelter of the Most High.” In 2023, we will take another journey through the Scriptures, looking for the God-sightings in each book and seeing how we can learn to dwell in God's presence.

Esther tells the story of the origins of the Jewish holiday of Purim and how the people who were already in exile faced a potential genocide and were saved because God called and positioned Esther in such a place as to save her people from annihilation. This is the Book of Esther.

This teaching is part of our 2022 series, "Anchored,” and is part of our study on the books of history.
